OnTrial
Who we are

Operators. Not consultants.

Every internal role at OnTrial is held by a veteran of the U.S. military or law enforcement — by mandate. We don't rent expertise. We hire people who've been in the room when it mattered.

Leadership

Built by people who've been in the room.

Josh and Tyler have worked together since 2015. OnTrial is the product of that partnership — and of backgrounds built in the exact environments the platform now serves.

  • Founder

    Josh C.Co-Founder & CEO

As CEO, Josh sets OnTrial's direction and owns the client relationships that shape it. Two decades across federal law enforcement, executive protection, and enterprise security leadership — including nearly a decade of close protection for UHNW principals, dignitaries, and their families — give him a native read on the environments our clients operate in and the standards they expect. He brings deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance to every engagement.

    Tyler J.Co-Founder & COO

A U.S. Navy veteran, former covert protection agent, and previously Senior Security Leader at Tesla (Palo Alto HQ and Gigafactory Texas), he combines frontline operational discipline with technical fluency. He leads the engineering, pipelines, and case-management systems that let the team move fast without sacrificing rigor.

Standard

Veterans, by mandate.

Legal and financial clients trust us with matters that can't afford error. We believe the people responsible for those matters should come from institutions that trained them for that responsibility.

Every internal role at OnTrial is held by a veteran — active or former service in U.S. military, federal law enforcement, or state / municipal law enforcement.

Each employee holds or has held a government security clearance and agrees to ongoing security screening throughout their time with the firm. The average operator on our team has fifteen years of agency or field experience before walking through the door.

The bar stays high because the work demands it.

Operators

Our operators stay anonymous.

Leadership is public. Operators are not. Operational discretion is the first principle of our work, and we apply it to the people behind every case — their credentials stay on the record, their names don't.

Detailed operator credentials available on request, under NDA.

The Bar

What we require.

  • Veteran, by mandate

Every internal role requires current or former service in the U.S. military, federal law enforcement, or state / municipal law enforcement. No exceptions.

  • Clearance-ready

Each employee holds or has held a U.S. government security clearance and agrees to ongoing security screening throughout employment.

  • Operational experience

Minimum eight years of field or agency experience before joining. Our average operator has fifteen.

  • Conduct above reproach

Every hire passes an internal background verification, reference review, and conflict-check before touching a single case file.
